Newcastle United's new owners are reportedly becoming increasingly 'optimistic' of signing Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard during the January transfer window.
Los Blancos have allegedly made the Belgium international surplus to requirements, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in his services.
Manchester United are believed to have turned down the chance to sign Hazard, but Liverpool are thought to be open to the idea of bringing him to Anfield next year, while Juventus have been linked with a move.
According to Sport, there is also serious interest from Newcastle, with the club's new wealthy owners eyeing a move for the 30-year-old in the winter transfer window.
The report claims that Hazard is their 'main target', and Real Madrid 'will not object' to the Belgian leaving the club on a permanent basis at the start of 2022.
Hazard has struggled with a number of injury problems during his time at the Bernabeu, while he has managed just five goals and nine assists in 53 appearances for the capital giants in all competitions.
