Manchester United would reportedly be willing to listen to offers for Phil Jones during this summer's transfer window if they bring a new central defender to the club.
The 20-time English champions are thought to be determined to sign a new centre-back ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking for a left-footed player to boost his squad.
According to ESPN, if United are successful in their attempts in the upcoming market then the club would be open to allowing Jones to leave on a permanent basis.
The 28-year-old only signed a new deal at Old Trafford in February 2019 and has more than two years left to run on his current agreement with the English giants.
Jones has made 224 appearances for United in all competitions but has not featured for the club since January 2020, having struggled with a long-term knee injury which eventually required surgery.
The defender has won the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League during his time in Manchester.
