Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The 23-year-old has found first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu hard to come by this term, playing just 171 minutes of La Liga football.
Kovacic, who joined Real in 2015 from Inter Milan, has only made 17 appearances in all competitions this season and is believed to be considering his options.
According to Spanish outlet AS, United are one of four teams closely monitoring the Croatian's situation, along with Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, and former club Inter.
The report, however, also claims that Real are not believed to be willing to sell Kovacic at any price, although the player is rumoured to be pining for a move away.
Kovacic has made 90 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring three goals and claiming seven assists in all competitions.
