Cristiano Ronaldo is on the Manchester United bench for Thursday's game against Leicester City, with the speculation surrounding a summer exit coming to an end.
The Portugal international is believed to have informed the Red Devils at the start of July of his desire to leave the club during this summer's transfer window to continue playing in the Champions League.
However, there have been a lack of suitors for the 37-year-old, who has only started one Premier League match for the 20-time English champions this season.
"Several times (spoken to Ronaldo about his future), yes. We are on the same page. [He is happy to stay] otherwise he wouldn't be here. The way of playing, the set of demands, you can see in training Ronaldo has the ability," Man United boss Erik ten Hag told reporters on Friday.
"He will fit in because... I don't have to explain, he is a great player with great capabilities. He will fit in every system and every style. We are on one page, and he knows what the demands are."
Ronaldo is with the Man United squad at Leicester on transfer deadline day, with the Portuguese staying at Old Trafford until at least the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are unchanged from their 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday, meaning that new signing Casemiro is again on the bench.
Antony has now officially joined from Ajax, but the Brazilian is not involved this evening, with his debut for Man United potentially coming against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
