Manchester United are reportedly planning a move for Juventus defender Alex Sandro.

Manchester United are reportedly planning a move for Juventus defender Alex Sandro.

Manager Jose Mourinho is looking for options for the problematic left-back position, with Luke Shaw having failed to make the role his own and potentially on his way out of the club.

Sandro has been identified as a possible solution, according to the Daily Record, although United will face competition from Chelsea for the services of the 26-year-old.

The London outfit were interested in bringing the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge in the summer, and although a transfer never materialised they are understood to maintain an interest.

Juventus would reportedly demand in the region of €70m (£61m) for the player, who joined from Porto in 2015.
