Millwall midfielder Nicky Bailey has been ruled out until mid-September through injury.
The 30-year-old damaged his calf in the Lions' 1-0 victory over Fulham last weekend, and was forced to sit out tonight's dramatic draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
Speaking to the club's official website, Millwall physio Bobby Bacic said: "Nicky suffered a reaction in his calf after the Fulham match and will now undergo a course of injections which means he will be ruled out until after the international break [next month].
"Nicky can and is willing to play with the calf as it is, only giving him minor discomfort. However, our worry is that if we keep pushing Nicky through, it will gradually get worse and we may not have the luxury of an international break to give us the extra time for the injections to be successful."
Bailey joined the South London outfit from Middlesbrough last year.
