FIFA president Sepp Blatter heckled by protester during speech to Congress

FIFA president Sepp Blatter calls for security after he is heckled by a protester while addressing Congress at today's presidential election.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter was heckled by a pro-Palestinian protester while addressing Congress in today's presidential election.

Pressure is mounting on the 79-year-old after seven football officials were arrested in Zurich on Wednesday on suspicion of bribery, money laundering and racketeering.

The US authorities confirmed earlier this week that 14 people have been indicted overall, and the arrests relate to more than $100m (£65m) being allegedly accepted in bribes from the 1990s to the present day.

At the beginning of today's election event, where Blatter could retain his position for a fifth term, a protester forced their way into the venue and shouted "red card for FIFA", which alerted the Swiss to call for security.

Meanwhile, Swiss authorities are investigating the allocation of the 2018 Russia World Cup and the 2022 Qatar World Cup in light of the corruption allegations.
