Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery refuses to discuss Angel Di Maria future

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Unai Emery refuses to be drawn on speculation over the future of Angel Di Maria, insisting that he is "happy with the group".

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Unai Emery has refused to be drawn on speculation over the future of Angel Di Maria.

The Argentina international was taken off with 20 minutes to go during PSG's 2-0 victory over Troyes on Wednesday following a tame display at the Parc des Princes.

For the Ligue 1 leaders' previous game, the 2-1 win over defending champions Monaco, Di Maria was named on the bench and appeared unhappy during the pre-match warm-up.

As a result, speculation has arisen suggesting that the 29-year-old is set for a move away in the New Year, but Emery insists that he is happy with all of his squad players.

"Angel works every day for the team," Emery told reporters. "Sometimes he has very good matches, sometimes worse. We will continue to give everyone confidence.

"I spoke with Angel yesterday. He started the match with a lot of desire and motivation. Maybe he did not show his best moves as he wanted or as we wanted. His attitude is good. I want to maintain a good spirit in the team and take each match as it comes.

"All players must think of Paris. We cannot talk about the transfer window as we still have a lot of matches. We need to think about the current workforce and give them confidence. If players are not in the spirit we want, we talk together. I'm happy with the group."

Di Maria has made 15 appearances in all competitions for PSG this season.
