Sports Mole previews Friday's Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Bastia in the French capital.

Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to extend their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table when they welcome struggling Bastia to the French capital on Friday.

PSG's 4-0 win over Toulouse last time out was their fourth straight victory in the league, a run of form that has elevated them to the top of the table, three points clear of nearest challenges Lyon.

Bastia have won just one of their last five matches, however, to sit in 13th position in the table. They are just six points off the relegation zone and could drop further into trouble should results go against them this weekend.

PSG have won seven of their 12 matches at home this season, but Bastia have managed just two wins on the road. Bastia will also not gain too much confidence from the reverse fixture earlier in the season, when the league leaders ran out 4-0 winners.

Carlo Ancelotti could continue with the same side that beat Toulouse, with new signing David Beckham not yet ready for competitive action. Gregory van der Wiel and Jeremy Menez, however, are both pushing for inclusion from the start.

Bastia, meanwhile, have no fresh injury concerns from last weekend and could name the same team that drew with Evian Thonon, although Mary Maka could come into the team as part of a five-man defence.

Recent form

PSG: DWWWW

Bastia: LWLLD

Possible lineups

PSG: Sirigu; Sakho, Armand, Jallet, Maxwell; Matuidi, Veratti, Lucas, Pastore; Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi

Bastia: Landreau; Marchal, Fethi, Choplin, Cioni; Sable, Palmieri, Thauvin, Rothen; Modeste, Ilan

Sports Mole says: 3-0
