Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has said that Stephane Mbia is "okay" and should be fit for next week after appearing to suffer a serious injury in today's match against Aston Villa.
The Cameroonian was stretchered off the field with a neck brace during the first half at Loftus Road after a collision with Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Mbia tweeted from hospital earlier this evening: "Actually in hospital ;( I want and I will come back soon as I can."
New Rangers boss Redknapp has since revealed that Mbia should recover quickly, he told the club's website: "He's okay. He's just got a bit of a neck injury.
"He's gone to hospital for a check-up, but I don't think there's any problem.
"He should be fit for next week."
QPR's draw with fellow strugglers Villa leaves them seven points adrift of safety in the Premier League.
