Three QPR players reportedly lift the lid on a week of partying while the squad were on a training camp in Dubai last week.

Several unnamed Queens Park Rangers players have claimed that their training break in Dubai last week turned into a "stag party".

QPR had travelled to the Middle East for warm weather training but, according to The Mirror, the trip descended into a holiday.

The squad apparently trained for 90 minutes each morning and the players were left to their own devices thereafter.

"Dubai was a week when we had the chance to sort out the problems. Everybody wanted to do that," one player reportedly said. "But we ended up going there for a holiday.

"In the evenings some players were out until 3am, 4am, 5am, and then went to training at 8am. It was like a stag party."

Manager Harry Redknapp stayed in a different hotel to the players and denied that any of the aforementioned antics took place.

Another player is quoted as saying: "I've never known anything like what happened in Dubai. We had all day to ourselves. That meant shopping, the pool, nightclubs. We were on holiday, it was just a party."

QPR returned from the trip to a defeat by Manchester United, and another senior player admitted that their preparation was terrible.

He reportedly said: "After a week like that, it was almost impossible to play against Manchester United.

"When we played United they didn't play, they didn't have to. They have some great players, but some aren't 100% fit and have injuries, and they were running past us like we didn't exist."

Rangers are currently seven points from safety in the Premier League. They face Southampton tomorrow in their next match.
