Christopher Samba says that he will stay with Queens Park Rangers even if they drop into the Championship by the end of the season.

Queens Park Rangers defender Christopher Samba has revealed that he will remain at Loftus Road even if the club get relegated.

The West London outfit, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, acquired the services of the defender on the final day of the January transfer window for £12.5m from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala.

"I will stay if it is a serious project," The Express quotes Samba as saying. "Sometimes if there is a setback there is a bigger step forward. If they are willing for me to make it with them, I would.

"But there are still 11 matches so there is no question of thinking about that just yet. I am going to give this everything that I have.

"But we have taken just one point since I have arrived, and we all know that that is just not good enough."

QPR are seven points away from safety.
