Real Madrid consider a £43m move for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in a January deal for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

Since debuting in 2010, Alaba has made more than 350 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, winning eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League at the Allianz Arena.

The left-back will see his current deal expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, though, and Barcelona were linked with his services during the recent transfer window.

According to reports in Spain, Madrid are now interested in a move for the Austria international, with Zinedine Zidane's side weighing up an offer in the region of £43m.

Bayern's issues in central defence have seen Alaba deployed in that area of the field this season.

The 27-year-old made his 13th outing of the 2019-20 campaign in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
