Andre Villas-Boas says that Tottenham Hotspur belong in the top four.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas believes that his team are on the right track to finish in the top four after their first home win of the season.

Spurs came from behind as an Alejandro Faurlin own goal and a Jermain Defoe strike secured a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane after Bobby Zamora had put Queens Park Rangers ahead.

Afterwards Villas-Boas praised his side, saying that he fully believes that the North Londoners deserve to finish in the top four this year.

"We have a difficult trip now to United and it will be important for us to bridge the gap to the top," said Villas-Boas.

"It is always difficult to go to Old Trafford but if we manage to bridge the gap there we can soon be in the top four which is the position where we belong.

"At the moment we are on the right track but we face our toughest opponent in the Premier League."

Spurs travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Saturday.
