Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his side were not at their best during their 3-1 win over Leicester City this afternoon but believes that they deserved to come away with all three points.
Goals from Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min sealed a fourth straight win for the title outsiders, lifting them to within five points of leaders Liverpool.
Leicester squandered a string of chances, though - including a missed penalty from Jamie Vardy - and Pochettino acknowledged that it was a win they ground out without being on top form.
"It was fantastic. Sometimes you win games not playing at your best. It was an even game - we conceded more than we usually concede - but I think the victory is fair," he told reporters at his post-match press conference.
"I am so happy with my players. It is really important to recognise that the players are putting in fantastic effort and I am so proud of them."
Tottenham will now turn their attention to the Champions League, with the first leg of their last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund taking place on Wednesday.
