Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Djed Spence has joined French side Rennes on loan for the remainder of the season.
Spence has struggled for game time since joining Spurs for a reported £20m fee during the summer, featuring for just 41 minutes across all competitions in 2022-23 so far.
Antonio Conte has preferred Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty as his right-backs during the current campaign, although the latter is expected to join Atletico Madrid on loan on deadline day.
Spence has now completed his own exit, joining fellow Spurs loanee Joe Rodon at Ligue 1 outfit Rennes until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old's move is understood to be a straight loan deal with no option or obligation to buy for Rennes in the summer.

Spence is still hopeful of having a future at Tottenham despite his lack of minutes this season, particularly with current manager Conte's long-term future at the club in doubt.
The England Under-21s international, who impressed for Nottingham Forest to help them to promotion from the Championship last season, joins a Rennes side sitting fifth in the Ligue 1 table after 20 matches.
Spence's exit, coupled with Doherty's expected departure, paves the way for Spurs to complete a deal for Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon.
The full-back is undergoing a medical at the club ahead of a loan move with an obligation to buy for a reported £39.5m fee at the end of the season.
Reports over the weekend suggested that Porro's move was in serious danger of collapsing, but Sporting boss Ruben Amorim confirmed his impending switch earlier on deadline day.
