Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins has reportedly emerged as a potential replacement for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
With three years remaining on the England international's contract, Spurs rejected Manchester City's attempts to sign Kane during the summer window.
The 28-year-old has since endured a poor start to the new Premier League campaign, failing to score in his 378 minutes on the pitch.
According to Fichajes, Watkins has been identified as a potential alternative if Daniel Levy admits defeat in trying to retain the services of the club's star man.
Watkins has enjoyed an excellent opening 12 months at Villa, chipping in with 14 goals from his 41 appearances in England's top flight.
Despite Watkins having a contract at the West Midlands outfit until 2025, Villa may consider any opportunity to make a considerable profit on the £33m, which includes add-ons, that they paid Brentford in 2020.
