Preview: St Gallen vs. Swansea City

Sports Mole looks ahead to Swansea City's final Europa League group match against Swiss outfit St Gallen.

Having started the Europa League group stage positively, Swansea City's form in recent matches has stuttered.

However, they travel to Switzerland to face St Gallen on Thursday evening in the knowledge that a point would secure their spot in the last 32 of the competition.

Even a defeat could see Michael Laudrup's men progress, providing that Kuban Krasnodar are unable to overturn a three-goal deficit from their trip to Spanish side and group winners Valencia.

Last season's leading goalscorer Michu has returned to action following a hamstring injury and is expected to be included in the side, but the Swans will be without goalkeeper Michel Vorm because of a knee complaint.

The home side have a number of players ruled out with injuries, including strikers Daniel Sikorski and Dzengis Cavusevic, both of whom are suffering with cruciate ligament damage.

Defender Mario Mutcsh has also been ruled out because of a one-match suspension.

Wayne Routledge scored the only goal of the game as Swansea won 1-0 when the two teams met at the Liberty Stadium earlier in the campaign.
