Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'It's more than me versus Cristiano Ronaldo'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that Friday's World Cup playoff between Sweden and Portugal should not be considered as a face off between him and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dismissed the notion that Friday's World Cup playoff against Portugal is all about him versus Cristiano Ronaldo.

The players, who have both been nominated for the FIFA Ballon d'Or, are widely regarded as two of the best in the world.

However, the 32-year-old has stressed the importance of the collective teams rather than individuals ahead of the first leg in Lisbon.

"I see two different players, two players who do things fantastically well and represent their countries in the best possible way," the Paris Saint-Germain forward told reporters.

"One shouldn't focus on just two players - it's Sweden against Portugal and I think the collectives are the most important."

The second leg takes place in Stockholm on November 19.
