Fiorentina bounced back from consecutive defeats in Serie A to claim a 2-1 win against Hellas Verona this afternoon.
Juan Cuadrao came close early on for the hosts when his shot was saved at the near post following a Borja Valero pass.

From the resulting corner, Fiorentina took the lead as Marcos Alonso flicked on and Gonzalo Rodriguez guided the ball in from close range.
Rodriguez then saw a shot saved, before Mario Gomez's effort from a tight angle beat the keeper, but hit the top of the crossbar.
Verona levelled the scores six minutes before half time when Nicolas Lopez was slipped through by Luca Toni to slot past the onrushing keeper.
Reported Manchester United target Cuadrado restored Fiorentina's advantage just past the hour mark when he arrived in the middle to convert Alonso's cross.
The hosts looked for a quick response and Panagiotis Tachtsidis fired a strike just past the top corner.
Lazaros Christodoulopoulos was the next to threaten for Verona, but could only place his header over the bar and it proved to be the closest that his side came to scoring as their winless run stretched to six games.
