Captain Kevin Nolan has said that the recent arrivals of Andy Carroll and Yossi Benayoun helped to inspire West Ham United to their 3-0 win over Fulham.
Both players joined the Hammers on season-long loans, from Liverpool and Chelsea respectively, earlier this week.
Carroll, who signed on Thursday, played 68 minutes at Upton Park, while Benayoun's registration was not competed in time for him to feature.
"Signing Yossi gave all the lads a lift and I think you saw that today and Andy is a great lad. We get on really well off the pitch," Nolan told Sky Sports News.
"When we knew he was coming down on Thursday I was excited and really chuffed. We've been so lucky to get him and we're delighted for him because he deserves to be played every week.
"We all know his capabilities. It's disappointing what went on at Liverpool, I think, but he's showed he's a top player in this league and hopefully he can get some goals for us."
Benayoun previously spent two seasons at West Ham between 2005 and 2007, making 72 first-team appearances.
