Poland's Iga Swiatek produced a ruthless performance to beat Naomi Osaka in the final of the 2022 Miami Open.
The up-and-coming 20-year-old found herself two championship points clear in the final game, and Osaka's wayward return saw Swiatek complete the sunshine double.
Swiatek served Osaka a bagel in the second set after being made to work for her first-set triumph, as she marched to a 6-4 6-0 win in Saturday's final after scooping the Indian Wells Masters title last month.
Swiatek had to wait until the fifth game of the first set to earn the opening break and did so with a smashing cross-court backhand, and she held confidently to gain the upper hand.
Osaka had no answer to her counterpart's brilliance in the second set and went 3-0 down following a double fault, and Swiatek did not let up en route to her third WTA 1000 crown of 2022.
Swiatek has now won six of her seven women's singles finals, while Osaka continues to search for her first singles title since the 2021 Australian Open.
