Argentina coach Gerardo Martino reveals that 'he will always vote for Lionel Messi' when it comes to who wins the Ballon d'Or.

Argentina coach Gerardo Martino has revealed that 'he will always vote for Lionel Messi' when it comes to the Ballon d'Or.

Messi is a three-time winner of the award, which is decided by international coaches and captains as well as a select group of journalists.

"I will always vote for Messi for the Golden Ball," Martino told Goal.com.

"Messi will continue to break records. It is a pleasure to see Leo, an Argentine, as the top scorer in the Champions League."

Messi scored twice against Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday, equalling Raul's record goal tally of 71 goals in the competition.
