Shanghai SIPG boss Vitor Pereira is reportedly offered the permanent manager's role at Arsenal.

Shanghai SIPG boss Vitor Pereira has been reportedly offered the permanent manager's role at Arsenal.

The Gunners have commenced an extensive search for a new manager following the sacking of Unai Emery last month.

Reports have claimed that Arsenal will interview a shortlist of 10 candidates this month ahead of reaching a decision.

However, according to Diario de Noticias, Pereira has a proposal to become next Arsenal manager 'in his hands'.

Pereira has never managed in England, with recent occupations including Olympiacos, Porto, Fenerbahce and 1860 Munich.

Thomas Tuchel, Carlo Ancelotti, Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira have all been mentioned as potential candidates for the position.
