Mikel Arteta says that Arsenal cannot 'take their foot off the pedal' as they go into their last eight Premier League matches.

Mikel Arteta has said that Arsenal cannot 'take their foot off the pedal' as they see out the remainder of the Premier League season.

The Gunners are currently enjoying a winning streak of seven games that has seen them leapfrog local rivals Tottenham Hotspur into third place.

"If anyone thinks it's all done now, then they are making a big mistake," the Spaniard said.

"We can't take our foot off the pedal now.

"We have won seven in a row now, which is very difficult in the Premier League nowadays, and we have done it well, playing some high-tempo football, but there are some tough, tough games coming up in our last eight matches."

Arsenal take on Queens Park Rangers in a London derby on Saturday.
