Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny admits that he has been far from his best at times this season but sees his long-term future in North London.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has admitted that he has endured a difficult season in North London but feels positive about his long-term future at the club.

Kosicelny's start to the campaign was hampered by a calf injury, which saw him miss the whole of August and fall behind Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker in the Arsenal pecking order.

In recent weeks the French international has shown signs of a return to form, keeping successive clean sheets alongside Mertesacker against Bayern Munich and Swansea City.

The 27-year-old believes that Arsenal's marked defensive improvement over the past week can help Arsene Wenger's side achieve their aim of finishing in the top four.

He told Eurosport France: "This season has been more difficult for me. I've had injuries and some disappointing performances.

"We had certain objectives at Arsenal, we have one left: fourth place. The mood is good, it's better.

"I'm not worrying about my future at Arsenal. I still have four years on my contract. I feel good in London."

Koscienly is currently on international duty with Les Blues ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Spain.
