Paris Saint-Germain reportedly use former French president Nicolas Sarkozy to help convince Arsene Wenger to become the club's new manager.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly enlisted the help of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy to convince Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to return to his homeland.

The 63-year-old is thought to be a target for the Ligue 1 side, who are rumoured to be considering giving current boss Carlo Ancelotti the chop at the end of the season.

It is understood that Sarkozy, who is regularly spotted watching PSG, has been facilitating the club's approach to Wenger, with whom he has already had talks, according to French magazine Le Nouvel.

Meanwhile, Wenger has claimed today that he will see out the rest of his contract, which runs out next summer, at the Emirates.
