Arsene Wenger: "AC Milan are not better than us"

Arsene Wenger insists that Arsenal could beat AC Milan on current form.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that his side would beat AC Milan on current form.

The London club were eliminated from the Champions League following a 4-3 aggregate defeat, despite beating the Italian outfit 3-0 in the second leg earlier this month. However, Wenger maintains that his side are still the better team.

"We would have gone through against Milan had we faced them now," he said. "Milan are not better than us.

"I think that in the first leg we were bad. On top of that we lost our defenders and conceded a third goal at the start of the second half which placed us in a difficult position.

"We had no game. In the home leg we were different."

Arsenal have won six games in a row in all competitions ahead of this afternoon's action.
