Arsene Wenger tells Aaron Ramsey to get "priorities right"

Arsene Wenger says that Aaron Ramsey needs to get his "priorities right" and "help the team" after the midfielder was criticised for his recent performances.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told Aaron Ramsey that he needs to get his "priorities right" following his performance against Anderlecht in the Champions League.

The Wales international was heavily criticised by TV pundit Charlie Nicholas, who suggested that the midfielder has gone backwards on his form from last season.

The team have been under scrutiny over the last few days after they relinquished a three-goal lead at the Emirates on Tuesday night to draw 3-3 with Anderlecht.

When asked about Ramsey in today's press conference, Wenger said: "He has to keep his priorities right. He needs to help the team. It's not about goal scoring.

"A midfielder is a guy who defends well and makes the other players play well. When you score and have a disastrous game people say you play well but you have to keep your priorities right."

Arsenal will switch their focus back to the Premier League when they take on Swansea City on Sunday.
