Jack Wilshere reveals that he is "gutted" and "shocked" by Fabio Capello's departure as England boss.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted that he is "gutted" by Fabio Capello's decision to resign as England manager.

The 20-year-old was given his first appearance in an England shirt by the Italian coach, something that Wilshere is thankful for.

"Shocked about news on Fabio Capello...gutted to be honest, gave me my 1st cap and believed in me! Thank you Mr Capello,!" Wilshere wrote on Twitter.

Wilshere made five appearances for the Three Lions under Capello.
