Ian Wright: 'Arsene Wenger banners made me angry'

Arsenal legend Ian Wright says that he was angered by banners displayed during Saturday's game against West Brom, which called for Arsene Wenger to resign from the club.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said that banners displayed during Saturday's game against West Bromwich Albion, which called for Arsene Wenger to resign, frustrated him.

The Gunners boss has come under fire from some sections of the Arsenal support following an inconsistent start to the Premier League season.

A small group of fans revealed the banners during the 1-0 win at The Hawthorns, which conveyed a message of thanks but suggested that it was time for the Frenchman to move on.

"I don't like that – when I saw that, it made me angry – when I think about everything Wenger's achieved," Wright told BBC Radio 5 live.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the table, two points adrift of the Champions League places.
