Arsenal approach Valencia to discuss a potential summer deal for Rodrigo Moreno, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly approached Valencia to discuss a potential move for Rodrigo Moreno.

The 29-year-old, who has previously been linked with Barcelona, has scored five times and provided 11 assists in 28 appearances for Los Che during the 2019-20 campaign.

Rodrigo's current deal at the Mestalla will expire in the summer of 2022, though, and there have been suggestions that he could leave the former Spanish champions ahead of the 2020-21 season.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are making plans for life after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they fear that the Gabon international could seek a move away from the club this summer.

The report claims that Rodrigo, who could cost in the region of £50m, is regarded as a possible replacement for Aubameyang, with the club captain being linked with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.

The Spain international has previous experience of English football, having represented Bolton Wanderers on loan during the 2010-11 campaign.
