Arsenal reportedly identify Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez as a potential transfer target ahead of the summer window.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to rival Manchester City in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

Having failed to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, the Gunners will sign at least one new frontman during the summer.

A number of players have been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium, including Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak.

However, according to Calciomercato, the North London outfit may rival Manchester City for Martinez later in 2022.

The Argentina international was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last year before penning a new contract at San Siro.

Arsenal will almost certainly have to qualify for next season's Champions League to be regarded as a realistic option for Martinez, who has netted 11 times in 29 outings in Serie A and the Champions League this campaign.
