Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur to battle for Alvaro Negredo?

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal could reportedly move for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo in the January transfer window.

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Premier League duo Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

The 27-year-old has scored 11 goals in 12 games for the Spanish club this season, but it is understood that economic problems could force Sevilla into a sale.

According to talkSPORT, Negredo is keen to try his hand in the Premier League as he attempts to cement his place in the Spain squad for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

A host of European clubs have been credited with an interest, but it appears that Arsenal and Spurs will battle for his services.
