Arsenal are on the verge of securing a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly confident that they have secured a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion's Ben White despite the recent speculation surrounding the centre-back.

The 23-year-old - currently with the England squad at Euro 2020 - impressed for the Seagulls during the 2020-21 campaign, making 39 appearances in all competitions.

Arsenal have been linked with the defender in recent weeks, but a recent report claimed that Everton had moved ahead of the Gunners in the race, while Manchester City are also thought to have been showing an interest.

According to football.london, though, the Gunners have the matter under control, and a deal for White 'is all but complete', with official confirmation expected to arrive after Euro 2020.

The report claims that the former Southampton youngster favours a move to the Emirates Stadium over any other club.

White was initially left out of the final England squad for this summer's European Championship but received a call-up when Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced to withdraw through injury.
