Juventus will turn to Luis Suarez in their search for a new striker after being turned down by Robin van Persie, according to reports.

Juventus are switching their search for a new striker from Robin van Persie to Luis Suarez, according to reports.

The Italian side fear that Arsenal striker Van Persie has turned down a move to Italy, despite a reported contract offer of £190,000 a week after tax, The Mirror claims.

Van Persie's future has been the subject of intense speculation this summer, with Manchester United and Manchester City also linked with a move for last season's Premier League top scorer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not given up hope of keeping the Dutch forward and hopes that signing Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla will persuade Van Persie that the Gunners are hungry for success this season.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is now the primary target of the Serie A champions, with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers desperate to keep his star player.

Juve could also turn their attention to Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, who is understood to be prepared to leave the Eithad in search of first-team football.
