Liverpool have reportedly been offered Arsenal centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
The Reds still have severe problems in the middle of their defence, with Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez all currently on the sidelines, which has seen midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson pressed into action at the back.
The Premier League champions have been linked with a number of defenders during the January transfer window, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Sokratis has been offered to the club.
"He was offered to Liverpool too, you know that? Liverpool were looking for an opportunity and he was offered to Liverpool, but at the moment he's not an option," Romano said on his Here We Go Podcast.
Sokratis, who played under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, has not made a single first-team appearance for the Gunners during the 2020-21 campaign.
The 32-year-old is also said to be attracting the attention of Genoa and Real Betis.
