Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone reveals that he has not spoken to the club over extending his contract.

Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone has insisted that his only focus is playing well for the club.

The 24-year-old has featured in five of Arsenal's Premier League matches this season but he has yet to open talks with the club about extending his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

Mannone told the club's official website: "Neither myself nor anyone from my family or friends have spoken about any deal.

"At the moment, I am really happy and just focusing on training and playing well.

"I am trying to be the number one for this club and win trophies. That is my only concern and I would like to make that clear."

Arsenal are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
