Chelsea-bound Juan Mata has revealed that he turned down moves to both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Spanish World Cup winner has flown into London to discuss terms with Chelsea after Valencia accepted a bid for the player.
Arsenal and Spurs were both linked with the 23-year-old but he has now confirmed that a move to Stamford Bridge was always his number one choice.
"I want to come to England to win trophies - and that's why I accepted Chelsea's offer," Mata told The Sun.
"It was also a question of sporting achievement, not money. Arsenal and Tottenham were both interested in me but they did not compare with the Blues.
"I want the Premier League title and this is possible at Chelsea."
Chelsea are reportedly paying Valencia £25m for Mata’s services.
