Arsenal have failed in a late bid to bring West Bromwich Albion's Jonny Evans to the Emirates, according to a report.
After bringing in midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gunners have had their eye on strengthening their defence with the 30-year-old captain.
According to Sky Sports News, Arsene Wenger's side have tried but failed to secure Evans's services, having fallen short of the Midland outfit's demands.
West Brom are reportedly holding out for £20m for the Northern Irishman, who has also been linked with Manchester City.
Evans joined the Baggies from Manchester United - who have also been credited with an interest - in 2015.
