Report: North London duo watch Diego Poyet

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were among a handful of clubs that reportedly scouted Charlton Athletic's Diego Poyet last night.

Scouts from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were said to have watched Charlton Athletic midfielder Diego Poyet in action against Bournemouth last night.

The 18-year-old, who is the son of Sunderland manager Gus, has earned a host of plaudits for his performances in the Championship this season.

With his contract due to expire in the summer, Poyet could switch clubs for around £400,000 compensation, according to the London Evening Standard.

The report added that representatives from West Ham United and Fulham were also at The Valley.
