Sheffield Wednesday snap up Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez

Sheffield Wednesday sign Damian Martinez on a one-month loan deal from Arsenal.

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez.

The 21-year-old moves to Hillsborough on a one-month loan deal in order to gain some more regular football.

The Argentine currently finds himself low down in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, with Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Viviano all preferred to him by manager Arsene Wenger.

Martinez featured several times during Arsenal's pre-season tour of Asia during the summer.

He joined Arsenal from Independiente back in 2011 and had a spell on loan at Oxford United last year.
