Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger plays down move for Callum Wilson

Arsene Wenger says that reports linking Arsenal with a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson are not true.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club will not be making a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium after scoring 23 goals in the Championship to help the Cherries win promotion to the Premier League.

Wenger says that any reports linking the Gunners with Wilson are wide of the mark.

"No [we are not after him]. We look at all players but we are not especially in for Callum Wilson," the Coventry Telegraph quotes Wenger as saying.

Wilson joined Bournemouth from Coventry City last summer.
