Arsenal are reportedly open to letting William Saliba leave the club on loan for the 2020-21 campaign, with Rennes looking to strike a deal for the teenage centre-back.

Arsenal are reportedly exploring the possibility of sending William Saliba back out on loan to France before the transfer window closes next Monday.

The 19-year-old joined up with his teammates at the Emirates Stadium in the summer after spending the 2019-20 season on loan at former club Saint-Etienne, but Saliba is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Gunners.

According to the Evening Standard, Mikel Arteta is considering loaning out the youngster once again in a bid to help the teenager gain more first-team experience.

The report claims that current Ligue 1 leaders Rennes would be interested in signing Saliba on a temporary basis, with the centre-back having made 28 appearances in the French top flight during his two seasons in the Saint-Etienne first team.

Saliba currently finds himself behind Rob Holding, David Luiz and Gabriel Magalhaes in the pecking order at Arsenal, while fellow centre-backs Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are both being linked with moves away before next Monday's deadline.
