Darren Bent has dismissed suggestions that he has fallen out with Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish.
Bent attracted criticism from Villa fans on Sunday when he was pictured shopping instead of attending the team's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
The England striker apologised for the incident and insists that he is committed to the club.
"It's all been blown out of proportion," Bent said. "I can assure people there is no other agenda here and I haven't fallen out with the manager.
"The medical people advised me not to go to the match because if I sat there for a long period, I could get stiff. They told me to stay away.
"I can assure Villa fans I'm committed to the club. There are people who say I'd fallen out with Alex McLeish but it's the complete opposite."
Aston Villa are currently tenth in the Premier League with 19 points from 16 games.
