Aston Villa to make Paul Lambert approach

Aston Villa reportedly ready an approach for Norwich City boss Paul Lambert.

Aston Villa will reportedly make a move for Norwich City boss Paul Lambert in the next 24 hours.

It is understood that Villa have identified the Canaries boss as their main managerial target, according to Sky Sports News.

The club have been without a boss since sacking Alex McLeish at the end of the season, following their worst showing in the Premier League.

Lambert, meanwhile, followed up back-to-back promotions by steering the club to mid-table safety in their first Premier League campaign for seven years.
