Barcelona captain Carles Puyol misses his side's Champions League tie against Bayer Leverkusen with a knee injury.

Captain Carles Puyol has failed to recover from a knee injury in time for tonight's Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

His place in the side has been taken by Javier Mascherano, while Adriano fills in at left-back in place of Eric Abidal.

Pedro will partner Lionel Messi in attack.

Visiting Leverkusen have handed a start to winger Renato Augusto.
