Alexis Sanchez gives Barcelona the advantage against Deportivo La Coruna as the teams head in for half time at Camp Nou.

Barcelona have dominated the first 45 minutes of their La Liga encounter against Deportivo La Coruna but only lead by a single goal.

The hosts dominated possession in the early stages and created the first real chance of note in the 20th minute.

Christian Tello won possession inside the area before rounding Daniel Aranzubia, only to see the goalkeeper make a last-ditch save to keep the scores level.

Barca began to turn up the heat as Adriano supplied David Villa inside the box, but the Spanish international was stopped by a good challenge from Silvio.

Aranzubia then pushed Tello's effort onto the post before making a stunning double save to deny Villa and then Tello once again.

It was one-way traffic and the home side's dominance was rewarded when Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring seven minute before the break.

He thumped home from close range to settle the Camp Nou nerves.
