Luis Enrique plays down record-breaking Barcelona

Luis Enrique plays down record-breaking Barcelona and insists that he only cares about winning silverware.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has moved to play down the significance of his team's 2-0 win away to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening.

The Blaugrana managed their seventh successive clean sheet as Enrique's side became the first team in La Liga history not to have conceded a goal at this stage of the campaign.

"It was a difficult game from the start, but I'm happy," the former midfielder told reporters.

"Seven games without conceding? The win is more important than records. The only stats I'm interested in are those at the end of the season."

Quickfire first-half goals from Lionel Messi and Neymar proved enough for the visitors, who finished the game with a two-man advantage after Jorge Morcillo and Javier Aquino earned second bookings.
