Gerardo Martino to leave Barcelona in May?

Reports in Argentina claim that Gerardo Martino could look to leave Barcelona at the end of the season.

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino could leave the club at the end of the season because he is unhappy, according to reports from Argentina.

Argentinian journalist Fabian Godoy said that Martino, who took over at the start of the season, does not like the fact that he has to coach to Barca's philosophy, rather than his own ideas.

"Martino has told his close circle that he doesn't feel comfortable," AS quotes Godoy as saying. "He isn't happy at Barcelona and he wants to leave at the end of the season.

"He admitted to a person I know that he's going to leave Barcelona. Someone who was with Martino in Barcelona for a month and a half.

"He doesn't feel happy. He acknowledges that he has a great squad, a fantastic team, but he doesn't feel happy because he doesn't have complete control over training, due to the methodology. He likes a different way of coaching and the way he's doing it at the moment doesn't make him happy."

Despite Barca topping La Liga currently, Martino has come under criticism this season for his style of football.
